STAGE SCENARIOS

BACK IN THE SADDLE

ROUNDS
You start the stage with the rifle loaded with 10 rounds and the hammer down on an empty chamber and staged in one of the scabbards on the stand next to the horse.

The pistols are loaded with 5 rounds each hammer down on an empty chamber and are staged in the pommel holsters on the saddle.

The shotgun is empty with the action open staged in the other scabbard on the stand next to the horse. You will need 4 shotgun shells to be carried on your person.

THE STORY
You have been trailing a gang of outlaws for days. You are a deputy U.S. Marshal sent by Judge Longridge to bring in Billy Hunsicher and his gang for trial and hanging. After a brief rest and a drink from a cool stream you have just returned to the saddle and only gone a few hundred yards. As you top a rise a bullet whizzes past your head and you realize you have ridden into an ambush. You decide to fight from horseback.

STAGE SEQUENCE
As the timer goes off you are holding the reins in both hands, you then lay the reins across the saddle and retrieve your rifle from the scabbard and alternate between the 2 rifle targets for 10 rounds starting on the left. You then restage the rifle in the scabbard. Next you draw your right pistol and shoot 5 rounds at the pistol target on the left and then return the pistol to the pommel holster. Then you draw your left pistol and shoot 5 rounds at the right pistol target and then return the pistol to the pommel holster. You now take your shotgun from its scabbard and shoot the 4 shotgun targets s2, s4, s1, and s3. Return your shotgun to the scabbard and dismount.
